Sometimes you need to provide an email address, but you don't want to expose your personal or business accounts to more newsletters, subscriptions, or spam. Emailbin is a public email dumpster. You can use it to create a temporary email address for any purpose in accordance with our Terms Of Service or browse other public inboxes. As of today all inboxes are public, but messages are pruned frequently.

Yes. The core service is free and anonymous. We do not require any personal information. However, the service is provided as-is and we make no guarantees about availability, reliability, or uptime during the beta period. We may add a premium service in the future. In addition, we may include advertisements or sponsored content, but we promise to keep it minimal and unobtrusive to the best of our ability.

Yes. Here's a list of current restrictions. We can add more at any time.

• Some internal keywords are unavailable to be used as email addresses.
• Email addresses that use hateful, violent, illegal, or otherwise inappropriate terms will be blocked.
• Attachments are supported, but discouraged due to filesize constraints and risk of malware. Not all attachments or large image files that are part of a message are guaranteed to be available. Download files at your own risk.
• Emails are pruned frequently. The lifespan of an email once received can be anywhere from minutes to days. This is not a highly available service.
• There is a read-only API for fetching your own inboxes. Mass-harvesting other people's inboxes is not allowed.

No. These are disposable email inboxes designed for throwaway mail only.

If you expect to see an email that's not appearing, it might be for the following reasons:

• It was pruned. Emails are pruned frequently. The lifespan of an email once received can be anywhere from minutes to days. This is not a highly available service.
• The inbox is invalid or against our policy. Only alphanumeric inboxes are supported. Some internal keywords are unavailable to be used as email addresses. Email addresses that use hateful, violent, illegal, or otherwise inappropriate terms will be blocked.
• It might still be on the way. There can be a delay of up to 1-2 minutes from the time that an email hits an inbox until it's available.

All messages are pruned frequently. All inboxes should be treated as disposable. During the beta period we have finite storage capacity and cannot guarantee the availability of any message for any length of time. Messages might be unavailable starting anywhere from just a few minutes to several days after they are received. We may add a premium service in the future that offers longer retention periods.

Safe for what it's for. Inboxes are public and mail is deleted frequently, so treat Emailbin like a postcard, not a vault: fine for newsletters, verification codes and trial signups; wrong for password resets on accounts you care about, banking, or anything private. Attachments can carry malware. Download at your own risk.

A regular account is yours: private, permanent, tied to your identity. An Emailbin inbox is nobody's: no login, readable by anyone who knows the name, and wiped on a schedule. That's the point. It keeps spam and data brokers away from your real address.

Usually. Most sites will send a code to an @emailbin.net address. Some services block disposable email domains; if a signup rejects the address, that's them, not us. Codes typically arrive within a minute. See what else people use a temporary email for.
